PR Week Awards: Multicultural Marketing Consultancy (MMC) wins Specialist Consultancy of the Year
This year’s PRWeek Awards was bigger and better than ever.
Last week, at the prestigious PR Week Awards in London, Multicultural Marketing Consultancy (MMC) won Specialist Consultancy of the Year.
The PR Week Awards are widely accepted as the most reputable and distinguished awards in the PR and communications sector. Built up over 30 years, the Awards showcase and reward the industry’s very best talent and work via its famously robust and rigorous judging process.
“We are absolutely thrilled to have won Specialist Consultancy of the Year at the PR Week Awards! It’s been an incredible journey for MMC and we are ecstatic to have our success recognised by industry giants,” said MMC founder, Patricia Macauley.
With 35 categories spanning the breadth of the industry, the Specialist Consultancy category focused on organisations with a specific focus; be it PR discipline, industry specialism, market or audience segment. Judges looked for evidence of understanding of PR innovations, client list growth, client retention, market share and financial growth.
MMC won the award after being nominated alongside Blurred, Greenhouse Communications, Harvard, M&C Saatchi and Missive.
The win comes as we celebrate our 10th year anniversary.
Over the last decade, we have been involved in big campaigns, tackling some of the most pressing issues facing society today. This includes Covid-19, Black Adoption, Better Health and Violence Against Women and Girls. It has also become the go-to multicultural specialist agency for many of the big PR and advertising agencies, including freuds, Four Communications and Mullen Lowe.
“Covid and Black Lives Matter have been stark reminders of the importance of our work, bringing to the fore the vast inequalities that affect ethnic minorities in the UK,” said Macauley. “Over the last two years, we have seen more demand for our expertise than ever. However, our mission remains the same – a passion to work on campaigns that improve lives, and narrow inequalities within multicultural communities.”
“We feel blessed to work on such amazing campaigns and see the positive impact our work has on our communities throughout the UK,” said Macauley. “This win belongs to everyone at MMC and everyone who has been involved in our work – our incredible team, partners, clients, talent, influencers and case studies. Thank you!”
